Suzanne M. Richer is the Founder and Director of the Global Trade Academy, now part of E2open. In this role, she leads the business development and leading-edge strategy for global trade compliance and training offerings of the company. She is a licensed customs broker, Certified Classification Specialist (CCLS ™), and is PCQI certified.
As a Global Trade Expert, she has coached companies to excellence in their import/export compliance programs, championing training, internal controls, the development of excellence in global supply chains and auditing of firm’s transactions to manage and reduce risk. During her tenure, she led CTPAT/AEO validations all over the world, and guided many firms into the coveted Tier 3 status of the program. Her work in cargo security and trade compliance programs has earned many of her clients the title of Trusted Trader with Customs and Border Protection.
Ms. Richer holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Eastern Michigan University and an undergraduate in Economics from the University of Michigan. She has authored 14 books on international trade and led training programs across the globe. Ms. Richer has served as President of CSCMP NYC’s roundtable for ten years and is currently on the board of Rider University’s Supply Chain Programs, and well as Baruch College. She is a sought after speaker and her articles appear regularly in trade and supply chain magazines.
